  • Expand/Collapse Do we ride on the streets or on the sidewalks?

Yes, we are on city streets for the majority of the tour. Our route takes advantage of streets with bike lanes as much as possible but there are times we will need to share the road with other vehicles. For this reason we reccomend that all riders are confident enough with their biking skills that traffic will not be a problem. Also younger riders must have enough skill to follow in a single file line behind the guide so they are not in danger of veering into traffic.

  • Expand/Collapse Am I required to wear a helmet?

Yes. Your safety is top priority for us and studies have shown that helmets can reduce head injuries by at least 85%. Therefore, we do require all riders to wear helmets on our tours.

Beyond the French Quarter Bike Tour Reviews

NEW ORLEANS BEYOND THE FRENCH QUARTER BIKE TOUR is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tour in NOLA!!!!! I went on the Beyond the French Quarter Bike Tour with Danny as my guide! I went by myself (as none of my friends wanted to bike for 3.5 hours) and I was SO GLAD I did! This tour was incredible! I did a ghost tour of the French Quarter and a cemetery tour during my visit and this bike tour was a million times better than both of those! There was a forecast for rain, so we had a small group of just 4. The bike riding was not strenuous at all and we had several stops where we got off the bike and took photos/stretched while listening to the tales of NOLA. If this tour isn't on your list, it should be! You won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect way to acclimate to a city while touring We had never done a bike tour while on vacation before so didn't know what to expect. It is a fantastic way to get your bearings, learn some history and cultural feel for a city, and enjoy a beautiful trip (if you are fortunate to have the beautiful weather that we did). Danny, our tour lead, was fantastic. He knows and loves the city and he is deep into its history, which provided rich stories and an understanding in under four hours of a city that is almost 300 years old. Safety was always a focus and we were comfortable the enjoy way. Loved the short stop for beignets and coffee at the Morning Call too. We said that we always want to do a bike tour now when visiting a city because this first one was so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best things you can do in New Orleans It was our first visit to New Orleans and we booked a free walking tour through the French quarter and the bike tour beyond French Quarter. We choose Bullfrog Tours because they had a tag-along bike to ride with our youngest son. The walking tour was fine, but for us (family with three children, 17, 13, 8) a bit to much talking and little walking. The bike tour instead was just great. Our tour guide Daniel had the right mix of talking and riding. He knew so many things about this beautiful and interesting city, it was stunning. The French Quarter is very small, with this tour you learn and see so much more of this city! The 3,5 hours passed really fast and when we came back, we were all so happy that we booked this tour. Thanks again Daniel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride We had a really good time riding around with Danny. He was a history head and we learn a lot about NOLA. In my opinion, the best part of this tour is going outside the tourist beaten French Quarter part. There are so much more outside the FQ. This is a wonderful way to get to know the city up close and personal. I was fascinated by the cemetery in NOLA and requested if we can hit the cemetery. Danny had a plan and we made it into the cemetery early enough before they closed the gate at 4pm. Thanks Danny, a job really well done!!
